PureFitness - She is Strong

She is Strong.  Proverbs 31:25  - She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.

PureFitness is selling "She is Strong" shirts again in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month in October.  This shirt has a little more meaning for me because I have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer.  I want to encourage women to get their yearly mammograms.  My cancer was found early thanks to my routine mammogram.  I check myself often but never felt the mass that appeared on my mammogram.  Had it not been for that, my cancer would not have been found.  In July, I had two surgeries, a partial mastectomy and had lymph nodes removed that were feeding the mass.  September 11, I started my first round of chemo.  I will have four months of chemo followed by three weeks of radiation then hormone blockers for the next five years.  None of us know what our future holds in this life, it lies in the hands of God.  I do know that he has been with me throughout my life and continues through this journey.   Only he knows what my future holds.  In one of my many conversations with him, I told him that I wanted to be an inspiration to the women in my life and to those who don't know me.  I hope that through this illness I show others my strength, positivity and my faithfulness to our Lord.
